Issue in Lenient Publishing Policy

Hi,

We are using V8 environment & changed the publishing policy to Lenient from Moderate,
So the content associated to the channel could be published (without publishing the unapproved/stale channel). but still we are getting issues while publishing CI like given below.

- Ancestor channel for items is not approved
- Referenced item (CI) is not approved.

Please share your thoughts.

Yes this is a bug which was fixed a few weeks ago. I believethat it should be part of the latest efix. Did you open a volss ticket ?

Hi,

While publishing an item, you need to make sure that it’s ancestors and the associated objects are in approved state. The change in the publishing policy is useful in case you are publishing a channel inside which there are hundreds of contents and many of them are unapproved, which would create a fuss. The lenient policy in this case ensures that the channel is published without any problems.
