does anyone have a suggestion on how to implemetn an e-mail callout from the Set Metadata form?

The purpose of this would be to send an e-mail to the Vocab Modellers group in case when the vocab is missing some key terms.

Are we taking the wrong approach here with such an e-mail notification?

I think this is a great idea and may do it myself. Sure, a cgi callout should work - just have the receipient hard-coded and have a text box pop up or a few dropdowns and then send it on its way using Mail::Mailer which is in iw-perl (assuming MT is on the same box as TS).
