Creating a new Tab(Teamsite)

Can someone tell me the steps on how to create a new tab in Teamsite?

What is your exact requirement? Do you intend to create a tab in UI, DCT ..... Please clearly specify what you want to acheive.

Sure,
We have home grown application that runs as part of teamsite. So with our current version we have new tab in UI for this app and now we are upgrading to v6.7.1 Service Pack 1. I have tried few things and not able to add a new tab. With default installation, we have three tabs Content, Workflow and Administration. We want to add a forth one in UI.
