Templates testing

Hi

I am testing teamsite templates.

I have several DCTs and TPLs in my hand which I have to test from functional point of view in a new teamsite server. I have DCTs and TPLs in several folders in the old Teamsite box.

Please let me know how to test DCT and TPL if it is working or not.

Assuming you know how to setup templating in Teamsite, you will have to setup all the templates in question on the new teamsite server and then run your functional tests. Functional tests require that you have detailed and well written Business Requirements in hand.

If you do not know how to setup templates in teamsite, refer to the teamsite Forms Publisher Guide. If you have any further questions, please feel free to post.

Templating.cfg is a single file located in iw-home\local\config folder on your teamsite server. Refer to the teamsite forms publisher guide to know more on how to configure your templates in templating.cfg..

You may also like to check the same file on your old server and than will give you a better idea..

You can also bring over templating.cfg file present in old server and replace it on your newserver. Since you mentioned that you want to test your old DCTs and PTs.

And also there are numerous posts in Devnet related to these it would be good if you do some search instead of simply posting (which is much easier rather than searching) and also Munish has kindly requested you to refer FormsPublisher guide twice already doing so you would have got all your answers.

Question: Are you the only admin of your TS server box?
