query regarding JVM version
curiousmaverick
Hi,
TS 6.5 SP3 uses JVM/SDK 1.4.2 _05 (third party library) in the server machine. Now in that server machine if JVM is updated to 1.5.XX version, is that going to effect the running of TS ?
Regards,
Mav

me-thinks TS installs and uses its own JVM, so it wouldn't be affected by what other JVM/JRE you install on the server.

What about client machines?will it need the exact JVM 1.4.2 or higher versions will be accepted as well?

Yes what matters is what your teamsite users run in their Desktops/Laptops since all the Teamsite applets like "File Import" from teamsite UI will use the client side JVM which needs to be JVM/SDK 1.4.2 _05 which is Ts65SP3 compatible .

Hi All,
We are having reverse proxy and we are facing asset import problem.
1. We have tried 1_4_02/1_05_05/latest JRE,
2. We have tried M VM(I know this is not supported these days).
Tried the below
**Pls. goto Control Panel, there you might be seeing an option named "java" OR "Java-Plugins".
If an option available is "Java-Plugins", then follow the steps given below;
1.Double click on it
2.Go to the 3rd tab "Browser"
3.Uncheck all the check boxes (browser types)
4.Click Apply
5.Open a new browser window to login to TeamSite and check the Import File functionality.
If an option available is "Java", then follow the steps given below;
1.Double click on it
2.Goto "Advanced" tab of JAVA security panel
3.Goto APPLET> tag support
4.Uncheck the "Internet Explorer" option
5.Click Apply
6.Open a new browser window to login to TeamSite and check the Import File functionality.
Still the asset import/launch pad setup is not working. If any one is using reverse proxy with TS, then please do let me know the jre version and other setting required for the same.
Any guesses as to why!.
Thanks
Prem.
