Teamsite Upgrade to 6.7 and IWmigrate

We are currently running Teamsite 6.5 Sp3 on a Windows platform. We are going through a planning project to see what it takes to upgrade to 6.7.1 from this environment.

Our last upgrade of Teamsite going from 6.1 to 6.5 SP2 involved the iwmigrate process on our store.

From the documentation I have read through I noticed they mention if coming from TS 5.5 to 6.1 that you are required to run IWMIGRATE.

My question is are we still required (or best practice) to perform iwmigrate on the store when moving from one version to another?

What I am trying to clarify is do we need to perform the iwmigrate from 6.5 SP3 to TS 6.7.1 or is it common upgrade process to copy the existing store since we already performed the iwmigrate during the last upgrade?

We are still going to the Windows operating system.

You dont need to perform iwmigrate again, while moving from 6.5 ro 6.7.1 on windows.

Run iwfsshrink before copying content store to new server.

Rahul is right. The stages at which you need to consider a migration are when you upgrade from the 5.x platform to the 6.x platform, or if you upgrade from the 6.1 platform to the 6.5 or later platform. The reason for the migration is because the backing store was updated to be more efficient with later versions and also some functionality was added for search. From 6.5 SP3 you should be able to do a straight upgrade without any problems.

May I know what's the function of IWmigrate? It is like an exporting tools? Let said if development is done offsite, is that possible to use IWmigrate to export completed site in CCPro and import into the onsite development server?

If it's not possible, are there any possibilities dto achieve this?

I suggest you try reading the manuals - iwmigrate is documented.
However - in indirect response to your question - no, iwmigrate is not for what you are describing.

OOTB - LaunchPad is, I believe, the only supported mechanism for doing what you're talking about. I know IWOV talked about a way to do what I believe you're asking, but I don't believe they ever productized anything for it.
