TeamSite::DCRnode

have a text area field and each and every line in the field get's enclosed by
tags when I output that to the html. I have a search replace method which searches for line breaks and encloses each line within

tags. This works fine if I get the value from the DCR using iwpt_dcr_value and output that to html.

When I try to open the dcr using DCRnode and use the same method it doesn't work because DCRnode strips out the line breaks when it gives the value. Do we have a configuration for avoiding that or the only way out is to write some dirty code

TeamSite:

CRnode::value does no such thing. Matter of fact, iwpt_dcr_value() is just a helper PT Function for this very Method.
If you want some help rather than pure speculations, post your code.

I have a templating structure where I am tagging and sorting the DCRs on the basis of timestamp and picking the latest item. I noticed that if I read it using iwpt_dcr_value I get the line breaks and if I read it using value method it returns the complete chunk without line breaks. I am calling the common method subHandleParaQuot in both the cases which works in former case and doesn't work on the other case because line breaks are stripped. Let me know if you need the complete templating code. I have only extracted the relevant sections.

I also suggest you clean up you code - you're making it far more complex than it needs to be:[html]if (open FILE, "$teamtopdcr") {
