setting groupID of folders with in a branch

Hi,
we want to make sure that the group that shares the branch( teamsite group) is always the group owner of files and directories within that branch.We have set "inherit permissions" from the Teamsite UI at a branch level. but right now when we are creating new dcrs or files the group sharing being set to Os group rather than teamsite grp

Environment: Solaris 9, teamsite 6.7.1 sp1

This was resolved by running chmod g+s workarea_name/ on each workarea
