Google is a wonderful thing:

Learn and utilize the Interwoven IE6 methodology to support successful, consistent and high quality implementations of our solutions.

Job listings for IWOV consultants. Now what the f*** it means, I have no clue Smiley Very Happy

FYI, I emailed an IWOV SE to see what he says.

If I may, that is the consulting methodology that we use in our implementations/projects.

I found this pdf that talks about it in a marketing sense.

He's going to apply for a job that mentions it and wants to look like he knows what he is talking about.

Hello,

I asked for more information about this internally and I was able to publish a KB article to provide a little more depth with less marketing content (I know how you guys love that)

Looks like good info H, thanks, however naming it after Internet Explorer 6, was a very poor marketing decision. Smiley Very Happy

That explains how they came up with the name - not why they continued with the name after someone should have realized that it would be a potential source of confusion / misrepresentation. At the very least they could have done:

The hyphen / underscore provides (IMO) sufficient distinction from "IE6" which is fairly widely recognized as Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.But obviously we're not the marketing geniuses here ;-)
