http 404 on previewing asp pages

Ok here we are struck with previewing asp pages

env: TS6.5sp2, Win2k3, IIS6.0

we are able to see the files at http://server:81/mountpt/
and also able to preview any file from http://server:81/mountpt/ any file in the sense ".jpg, .xml, .html"

the same is the scenario when I try to preview from TS environment too.
after googling and going through the microsoft KB artcile for http 404 resolutions I have the same issue.

Could anyone point me to what are we missing to preview asp pages. we are permitting IIS to serve dynamic content to.

Can you click on an HTML in TS and have it render ?

Rename an HTML page to ASP and see if that will render.

If no, then there is a TeamSite config issue, if it does, then IIS is not configured properly.

Thanks Andy for assisting me on this looks like there is a TeamSite config issue. Any steps or articles how we can resolve this issue. I already went through and did what all mentioned in kb 58250

Uninstalling and installing IIS solved the issue.
