DNR Script will not execute

Hi There,
Im having some trouble running a DNR script within an opendeploy configuration file which is calling another OpenDeploy instance.

I have tried running the specific command in command line and it works fine but it does not work through DNR script. Heres the specific code :

< dnrDeployment location="source" when="after" state="always">
< script cmd="D:\Interwoven\OpenDeployNG\bin\iwodstart ADI\FileList2 -inst REPLACEME -k host=NWD2IWQA5 -k fileList=D:\Interwoven\TeamSite\ADI\temp\filelist.txt -k farmSet=DrServer -k sourceArea=Y:/default/main/ADI/WORKAREA/common -k targetArea=E:\InetPub\wwwroot targetPreviewArea=E:\InetPub\wwwroot\temp"

Im not sure why it wont run in the script.

Try changing the cmd string to use forward slashes - like this:

<script cmd="D:/Interwoven/OpenDeployNG/bin/iwodstart ADI/FileList2 -inst REPLACEME -k host=NWD2IWQA5 -k fileList=D:/Interwoven/TeamSite/ADI/temp/filelist. txt -k farmSet=DrServer -k sourceArea=Y:/default/main/ADI/WORKAREA/common -k targetArea=E:/InetPub/wwwroot targetPreviewArea=E:/InetPub/wwwroot/temp" ...

Im not sure why it wont run in the script.

The reason could be the non-supported combination of the values present in the element.
Try changing the condition to those mentioned in the manual so that it can be confirmed that the above used condition is not supported.

Sample below illustrates (one of the) correct DNR Configuration. Fix yours in this fashion. If it does not help, post your complete configuration.

Judging by identical configurations Kannon may even not realize that he's trying two different things

hey LooseKannon , i think you are missing the "-k" before "targetPreviewArea=E:\InetPub\wwwroot\temp". fix it and run it again.

Hey I actually ended up abandoning the DNR Script idea as i was short in time. What i ended up doing was using farmsets and making the deployment non-transactional.

I was told that by default if one of the servers in a definition fails, it automatically rollsback.

I'll have to try your guys suggestions when i get time.

you are missing ".bat" in the dnr script cmd. put the ".bat" for iwodstart in script cmd. it will work.
