Tracking managed object changes

Is there a way to figure out what attributed has been modified for a ManagedObject? In the API doc there is a isModified() method, but it is deprecated. From the auto code complete drop down I see there is getChangedProperties() method in ManagedObject, but I can't find any documentation for it.

I'm using Vignette Media v7.5

You might want to look at the VCM Audit package that facilitates tracking changes to management object and many other events in VCM.

The typical approach for doing this is to fetch the sameManagedObject again from the database and compare in-memory objects. There isno supported API facility for checking what has changed. The isModified()method is deprecated because it was never fully implemented and didn’t serveany valuable purpose to begin with. The getChangedProperties() method, andother related ones, are not documented because they are unsupported internalAPIs. Occasionally an undocumented API is just an oversight and should bedocumented for public use, but generally the rule is that if it isn’tdocumented it’s because it is for internal use only.
