Problems with include virtual

Hello everybody I have this include in my .tpl file(this file generates a .html file):

#include virtual="../includes/menu.html"

When the page is generated it doesn't have the page's code included.
The include doesn't work fine.

The Redirector Module is already installed in my server.

Someone knows what is happening?.

First of all - a #include statement like that will never be replaced with the included files contents in the generated page -- that directive is processed by the web browser when the page is rendered.

Secondly, if the browser doesn't render the contents of the included file, more information is needed:

- I'm using IIS

* What type of page are you trying to render (.htm, .html, .asp, .jsp, etc.)?
- I'm triying render a .html page

* Have you configured the web server to render files with such extensions to process server-side includes?
- I have only installed the redirector module for IIS

Thanks everybody, I've just found the solution I had to mapped a .html files to the file WINNT\system32\inetsrv\ssinc.dll.

Good pickup, I did not spot that one. include file wants a path relative to your path, include virtual wants a virtual path. Your code uses a relative path:

Use the virtual keyword to indicate a path beginning with a virtual directory.

If a file named "header.inc" resides in a virtual directory named /html, the following line would insert the contents of "header.inc":



The File Keyword

Use the file keyword to indicate a relative path. A relative path begins with the directory that contains the including file.

If you have a file in the html directory, and the file "header.inc" resides in html\headers, the following line would insert "header.inc" in your file:
