Import from DCT

I am on TS6.7.1 with MediaBin 4.6.1 on Win. I have a DCT in place which when clicked on browse opens a mediabin directory structure from which i can choose an Image. I can get the right path in the field, but i couldn't get the image to automatically load onto teamsite. can some one throw me a lite on this or point me to a document which specifies the steps to do so.

Hi,

Go to Admin tab in teamsite , in the ECM connector section select the MediaBin
and see Enable direct import option is checked and you are using the right SOAP url etc.

Check all the configuration and try out once.

That is already checked and in place. Is there any other configuration we need to add in our DCT to enable this auto import functionality?

Can u check the permission on that branch , if you don't have enough permissions then you won't be able to import the assets to the TS

Well i guess you are missing the point here, I am able to import to my transfer folder using File->Import that is not at all a Problem.

I am doing a browse from DCT and when the foem filed is filled with path to the image, i am expecting that the image at this point will be automatically imported to transfer folder? Am i right at this point? what would be the procedure to enable this functionality if there is anything as such.

Hi,

I understood it correctly.

Check all these steps:

In the Administration tab (TS) go to EMC connector --> MediaBin

1.Check the Authorization section and user section.
2. When you do a browse from the DCT and select an image in the MediaBin the MB will automatically create the structure in the TS suppose if the user is not having the enough permission to create a new directory in the Work area then you can't import the image from the MediaBin.
