DD with ext. att

Hi All,

I want to try deploying the the metadata of a DCR to a db. Wrote the following script and never got it working. Can anyone share a script for the metadata deployment to the db?

I believe that you want to use <teamsite-extended-attributes ...> not <xml-source>

Not a good idea to post all the connection data in a public forum - better still - you should define the DB in your database.xml file and then incorporate it via the <data-deploy-elements> tag

The value-from-field data you posted is for content from a DCR - metadata would have something like "TeamSite/Metadata/my_metadata_key

I suggest you spend a bit more time with the manuals and try again.

The above code does not work for us.
We have a requirement to enter the dcr values as well as the extended attributes in the Database.
When we used "teamsite-extended-attributes" tag, the datadeploy was not able to read the dcr values.
Your example shows state and path field which are the dcr fields, if I am not mistaken.
In our case we are referring them as /article/0/path/0.
Is this wrong and we need to correct this? "article" is our root container. In our case what way should we address the dcr values for the value-for-field column.
Attached is the ddconfig file,logs and dcr for reference.
Please help.

If you want both DCR fields and metadata - use teamsite-templating-records instead of teamsite-extended-attributes.

DCR field referencing depends on whether the DCRs are "iwov" or "xml" format (it changes the first part of the xpath entry I believe)

Metadata fields are referenced via TeamSite/Metadata/**** where **** is EA you are trying to access.

path is provided via DD and you reference it simply as 'path' I believe.
