Adding new branch/subbranch results in Out Of Memory

Env: TS 6.5 sp2, Windows 2K3

We are facing an issue for last few months. Whenever we create/add new branch or subbranch we would notice TS would be running slow and subsequently after few hours it would say Out of Memory in event logs. At this point we would loose mount pt too. To fix all this (temporarily) we would restart the server and everything would be normal till we try to add another branch or subbranch if we need one. Has anyone faced this issue before, any clue why this happens.

This is a support issue. I cannot recall any known problems like this before, so I would get on the phone with support asap.

I agree that a support call is probably in order, but out of curiosity - how much memory do you have on that server?

this is our sandbox it has 1 GB RAM and at the most 4 people would be accessing it at any time.

If you read the installation manual, you'll not that the minimum supported specification is 2 Gb of RAM - there's a reasonable chance that you're hitting memory problems which won't truly get resolved until you add more memory to your server.

Hi Adam, thanks for this info, havent refered the manual before intiating the thread. will see if we could increase RAM before I reach suport because they would again point me back to the manual. Never thought it could be because of RAM.

updating the post, we have upgraded the RAM and we have no issues till now. so it was because of less memory.
