VCM 8.1 getThemeFilePaths order incorrect

Hi,

We have just applied VCM patch 8.1 & 8.1 SP1 and we notice that the theme command List<String> themeFilePaths = requestContext.getThemeFilePaths(); does not return the files in the order set in the theme in the VCM.

Does anyone else have this issue?

G’day Nigel,

This is a known issue with VCM 8.0 and WEM 8.1 to be addressed in WEM 8.2 (internal code is VCM-40530). I’m afraid if you have to get the files in the order as defined in the theme CI you’ll have to re-do the ordering manually (get the theme object, then use the convenience tag for reordering, as demonstrated in the Sample Site for the link relation (in the story fullview JSP)

Funny thing is that it worked in 8.0.

I see the example in the sample site story, I will update my code theme code to do the sorting.

I cannot get the sorting to work, I am using this:

I got it to work, the helper method is broken but using the Theme API works ok.

Theme theme = requestContext.getTheme();

List<String> themeFilePaths = theme.getThemeFilePaths(requestContext);

In the code below, the “items” attribute should contain the name of the theme/files relation for the “theme” content instance (not the request context as you have it below)
