    ¥ IBM WebSphere 7.0.x is supported Portal 8.1 2010-07-20 Cumulative Patch (and subsequent Cumulative Patches and Service Packs). See Knowledge Base Article 17883864 at the Open Text Knowledge Base.

* WebSphere 7 supports JDK 6.0 per the Application Client for WebSphere Application Server V7.0 detailed system requirements.

Note that the WebSphere configuration steps changed from WAS 6 to WAS 7.  For example, in WAS 7 you need to create and associate a shared library instad of defining the external libraries through the application server classpath.  OpenText KB Article 17883864 contains the updated instructions for WAS 7.
