I can only answer the first question with any degree of completeness and accuracy.

ECM Connector is used to provide an interface from TeamSite to MediaBin and, I believe, WorkSite (and perhaps one or more other Interwoven products?) to allow Users to click on a button in a DCT and browse the MediaBin repository for a digital asset (usually graphics) that they wish to reference within their DCT - in much the same way you use a <browser> element to browse and select files that are already stored within the TeamSite repository.

You then have options as to whether to import the file into TeamSite immediately upon it's selection within the DCT - or process the reference information and import the file during PT processing (I've only used it once, but my preference was for immediate importing)

1. What is Interwoven ECM Connector?
ECM Connectors are TeamSite mechanisms to *pull* Files from two other IWOV Products, MediaBin and Worksite.

2. what is code repository payload integration? what is repository in TeamSite?
We have to know this phrase context. If I have to speculate, it *sounds* like some fragment regarding Open Deploy
"Payload Adapters". This mechanisms allow OD Base Server to get Files directly from other (not IWOV) System Repositories.
code repository payload integration may be for example part of a sentence talking about OD PVCS Payload Adapter.

3. What is the difference between migration and transfer of assets?
"Migration" is often used in TS Documentation to indicate processes needed for System Upgrade like TS65 -> TS67
or OS Switch like Windows TS67 -> Linux TS67. Tools to facilitate this task may have names like iwmigrate, iwusermigrate,
iwaccessmigrate etc. I can not think of a consistent use of the term "transfer", not in TeamSite Documentation anyway.

4. How is transfer or migration of assets different from that of content?
In general, "Content" is a subset of "Assets". In TS Documentation Content often indicates template populated/generated
Files like DCRs, XMLs or JSPs. "Assets" could be anything. For example, you may plan to migrate DCRs which are "Content" (and
therefore "Assets" as well). You may also plan to migrate active Workflows which are TS "Assets" but certainly not "Content".

One of the very few times, when I get clear answers on this forum.

So how can you get ECM Connector interface ? Does it come with TS, MediaBin or it itself is a separate product ? Once ECM Connector is installed, it provides button in a DCT to import files from Mediabin , is that all it does ? or does it provide any more functionality ?

I *beleive* there was a Patch to install in TS65, search KB Articles for details. TS67 comes with it.

You mean people cannot read my mind and solve my problem with an ambiguous question ? I am shocked. Shocked I tell you. The only common denominator too all your unanswered questions is you.

take is easy. It was meant to appreciate your straight forward answer.
If you feel that questions are incomplete, then sometimes its because of lack of understanding about the topic to put a question with full info.
By the way its not only me, there are quite a few more who dont get explanatory answers.
I believe in earnest that you guys are answering to your best and trying to keep it concise. But with the spread of Interwoven more and more new comers are coming up, who have just started learning IW. They dont know basics very well and your concise and technically termed answers may be sometimes confusing.
I appreciate the help that you provide and hope you guys will take this comment in a positive and constructive way rather than a critical way.

Stop complaining and start learning. You know, like taking training, reading manuals and the like.
You'll be amazed how clearer "concise and technically termed answers" will become.

Alternatively, you can always rely on "wordy, rumbling and technically vague answers", every Forum
(this one including) has its fare share of *Contributors* of that sort.
