Internal Server Error

Hi All,

We want to make a customized Menu Item to be invoked from Action menu of TeamSite.For that we we have devaloped an CGI script and made necessary changes in ui_custom.xml and userops_custom.xml fils.

But when we click on menu Item(Test) from Action menu it is giving below error.

Environment:Teamsite 6.7.1/w2k3

We have tested CGi file from command line with out error it's executing.

Could you please tell me if we need to make any other configuration changes or any changes to be done to any CGI script.

Try adding the following - around line 11 of your script:

print qq[Content-Type: text/html\n\n];

You also might think about adding:

use CGI::Carp qw(fatalsToBrowser);

at least while you're developing the code.

I have included those two lines of code in my cgi file.Eventhough I am facing same error "Internal Server Error".One more thing is for all the cgi files i am getting same error,But Teamsite built-in cgi files are working fine.I have tested in browser.

Well - I don't know what error you're getting or why - my guess is that it might be something with the included KG::Log module, but it is difficult for me to verify that as I don't have that module.
I took your code, commented out the KG::Log pieces, set it up in my ui_custom.xml (btw - I think you need to use <iwov-insert-after> or <iwv-insert-before> elements to surround the menu item, I did that out of force of habit) - and I was able to get your script to display it's window with the Start and Close buttons.
That's as far as I went, and as far as I'm willing to go for free.
You will have to spend some time debugging the problem in your own environment - or hire someone to come in and do it for you.

One thing I avoid is this:

#!../iw-perl/bin/iwperl
Since this *should* execute in iwhome/httpd/iw-bin/ this shebang line will try to find iwhome/httpd/iw-perl/bin/iwperl which, I assume it cannot.

Change it to the proper loction C:/iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl

(or wherever it is)

Hi All. Even I`m facing the same problem. The only way to sort it out is to use the wrapper for the CGI file we create and i got stuck exactly there. If someone can help me how to use wrapper i think we can come out of this issue. Thanks in advance.
