Workflow Deployment Issue

Hi ,

I am trying to deploy the content using workflow which also includes a task for sending mails to the requestor.
I have observed that if i write the remark too long while selecting the files to deploy, workflow gets stuck in between and wont send any mails to the requestor.
This problem arises only if the remark line contains more data. Can any one help me in solving this problem?

If you're using 6.1 - this is a WFT and not a WFM (mentioned only for other potential responder's benefit).

What are you using to send the email? iwsend_mail.ipl, iw_solution_mail.ipl, something else?

What is this "remark"? Is that the job description? the task description? the task transition comment? something else ?

Are you sure it is the length and not the contents of the "remark" that is causing the problems? (i.e. eliminate all non-alpha-numeric characters except perhaps period(.), comma(,), hyphen(-), and underscore(_) - and see if you can determine a length limitation ... If so , what is it?

It is possible that you might instead be running into a character issue - the usage of things like angle brackets (<>) and 'and' signs (&) are known to cause problems in some XML processing unless they are properly encoded beforehand.
