i wanted to print the content given two lines seperately as in i was looking for a way in which i can access the data stored in both the content portions differently,is there a way where i can access the date and actual content differently and hence manipulate them further as per the requirements.i need only the content portion in both the <meta for="" my="" use="" and="" i="" want="" to="" format="" the="" date="" further="" as="" per="" the="" requirements.="" />

the code i tried to write is as follows ,i am not able to seperate ,i am using push and pop function to get the data and print it ,i guess we need to use some local variables but i am not sure how to go about to get the desired result,

print $line1 and $line2 after they are set. I suspect your regex is not working the way you think it is

I want to make sure before I post any code; are you reading those content from your DCR? If not, mention exactly where are you reading those contents from?

its not a dcr,its a simple perl program with normal file handles getting access to the files and then printing the required data which i am not able to do as per the requirements ,wit i need to store the content from both meta tags seperately and then manipualte them (if required ) and then print them ,

Before you try this code, you have to have all your data in $line, I guess you know that already. Here is the code I think it should work I haven't try that though, you try and let us know if there is any error....

That certainly won't work, use $line =~ m/ ....

I was not aware that we had such a close relationship - perhaps you ought to think a bit more about how you post in the forums as a whole - like the use of hieroglyphic texting (u r) instead of the actual words (you are) - I find it very difficult to believe that you would be working on the forums from a hand-held device, and so I find it hard to believe that you would be doing so from something with less than a reasonably sized keyboard - try using it correctly.
