try to get the xpath of the item and you can use lastIndexOf & substring
to get index of the replicant

Hi

My datacapture.cfg has a replicant container and it contains image names and locations as its items and a sequence number that is a dynamic item and gets incremented every time an item is added. It works fine until here if I add the images in the exact sequence.
item-1
sequence no-1

item-2
sequence no-2

........

If I add an item inbetween two items my dyanamic sequence number gets messed up as the instance of the replicant changes

item-1
sequence no-1

item-2
sequence no-3

item-3
sequence no-2

How can I make both my instance and sequence number same always?

My code is as below:-

oops, mybad .. place semicolon after the line where we are setting the value for the item

also in the same line and below line change path (was your variable) to item_i

Can you belive it, I blindly copy pasted the code. But still no luck,Replicants are not getting added.

could you please post your entire formapi script or place alerts for addInstance function after every line and see where its breaking.
