WEM 8.1 - Performing extra logic on click of Save or Apply of CI in V8 style editor

Hi,

Is there any way to perform some extra logic after user press 'Save' or 'Apply' in V8 style framework?

I know this can be achieved by listener, but just wanted to check if there is some standard way to add extra processing logic while saving contentinstance in new V8 style framework,

You can configure a “filter” in the *editors.xml.

e.g.

               <!-- Your filter -->

               <c:filter id=”filterid” class="your.filter.CustomFilter"/>

 

The class you specify should implement “com.vignette.ui.core.editor.Filter”. This has various methods that you could implement (like preSave, postSave, etc). See the JavaDocs for more information.
