Hello Dylan,
We have a functionality named “FURLs” (Friendly URLs) in the product to handle the page naming considerations,
Thanks,

I use a custom content type which I use to create page title for channels through a custom portlet. I think there are easier solutions which pull the channel name and assign it to be the page title but this method does not allow regionalization (content for users from different locations) to be part of the page title name.

Never mind for some reason I thought we were talking about page titles for SEO. We also use descriptive channel names for page names and FURL for URL.
