Getting File "Version" URL Link

Hi,
I'm working on Teamsite 6.5 on Windows 2003 server.

We have a requirement to link each version of the File(Submitted to staging/Edition version) from custom application(CGI running in the same teamsite machine). The functionality look like same screen as the Teamsite Version screen with other additional Data about the file.

For eg: The URL for "Version 1"[Just submitted to Staging] looks like,
http://machineName/iw-cc/command/iw.group.preview_file?vpath=//MACHINENAME/default/main/Training/EDITION/343/new+file

Here /343/new+file, is the unique location where the file version is located.

I would like to know whether any command/event can return this unique number so that I can construct the URL in my application and point to the version.

Any help regarding this is greatly appreciated. If you need any more detail please let me know

P.S: I went through the CLT documentation, IWEVENTS.log and other internal files, but couldnot get any lead to get this particular information. The closest point I can get to is Object Id.

There are several ways. For example, using CLT

1. Get ObjectID
iwattrib FileVpath objid

2. Get an ObjectOD of the Previous Version
iwattrib -o ObjID prevversion

3. Get an AreaId of the Previous Version
iwattrib -o PreviousObjID area

4. Get Area Name
iwattrib -o PreviousVersionAreaID name
The result should be something like #343

If you want, assign 'PreviousObjID' to 'ObjID' and loop back to #2
