How do you define content?
MLee7404
I define content as pure text that's consumed by xml/xsl and rendered as a page at runtime.
My coworker defines content as text AND images...that are consumed and rendered at runtime.
Do you all view content as images as well? Should they be treated the same way?
Should images be considered visual assets instead?

both can be considered as content. It is of any type .can be considered as 'unit' of digital information. It can be text, images, graphics, video, sound, documents, records etc . In simple words, anything that is likely to be managed in an electronic format.

You might look at
this
or
this
the latter containing the following statement:
Web content is the textual, visual or aural content that is encountered as part of the user experience on websites. It may include, among other things: text, images, sounds, videos and animations.
I think the more important thing (in respect to these forums) is to define what is
managed content
, as in what aspects of "content" do you manage within TeamSite - versus what aspects of "content" are managed by an App Server to which you might send the managed content. But again, it's really all a matter of context.
