Database Connection Latency

Hi,

I'm trying to find out what the supported latency number is in milliseconds between a DSM server and the database. We experienced an issue in our hosting environment which increased the latency of this connection to 400ms which caused our DSM sites to stop responding.

Is this normal behavior for a 7.5 DSM, and if so, what is the theoretical maximum for latency before the DSM sites should start exhibiting issues? I understand that every environment is different and that customizations will cause variations to this metric but what I'm really looking for is the maximum latency for a typical OOTB implementation.
