We are currently using opendeploy to deploy dcrs to database. In our dev environment we have TS and OD running on the same box, however we are migrating to another environment and will have TS and OD on seperate boxes. Can anyone let me know where we set the configuration that lets OD/TS know how to communicate to each other? Thank you

I'm not sure that it makes sense to try to run OD (a single base server) on a separate server from TS - but if you really want to do it .... can you mount or map drives from one server to the other?

If it was up to me I would have everything on the same server, but the client has two servers and want to spread it between TS, TS Search and OD. Would it be better (better meaning an easier configuration process) to put TS and OD on the same box and put TS search on a different box?

That's much more common configuration. IWOV even used to recommend it, see here and here.

It has been Interwoven's recommendation to have Teamsite/OD on a single box and to configure search on a seperate box. Let your employer know this. Aslo, to have Teamsite and OD on seperate boxes is kind of a configuration headache. Belive me I tried and I would not recommend it.
