Taxonomy not properly exported from MT Studio

I have a support case opened for this problem but just wanted to mention here to see if someone might have seen this problem.

We have Metatagger 4.1.2 on Windows 2003 and we have already tested this on 3 different clients using MT Studio running Windows XP.

When we export the taxonomy from MT Studio as XML file, it was getting exported fine in the proper DTD format according to vocab.dtd, but all of a sudden few weeks ago, it started exporting the taxonomy in a strange way. Looks like the XML is not following any DTD .

According to the DTD:

UID is an attribute of SVTerm, UREF is an attribute of parent and child tags. But when we export now, some nodes have them as attributes some have them them as child elements.

I have same problem with parent and child nodes. Somewhere they are and somewhere they are ...

We have number of customizations which parses this exported taxonomy and we also datadeploy this XML file to database, but now everything is broken because of this strange problem.

Any ideas? (I have tried this in original taxonomy and also creating 2-3 node taxonomy from scratch in studio. Also we have tried this on 3 separate clients).

• MT Studio Version

  = 4.1.2 on Win 2003
  

• MT Server Version = 4.1.2

  on Win 2003
  

We will need a copy of your DB_HOME (minus the lang directory)

• DB_HOME ( all files in the DB_HOME)

We will need a copy of

• Vocabularies which have wrong format

Please run iwmtdiagnostics.exe on the MT server.

1. Bounce the MT Server just prior to running the command

2. Include a test file in the invocation of the command
