Hello

In v 7.6, I have modified the value of HAS_DATASOURCE from 0 to 1 in stage & configured the data source. When vgnTest.jsp is called, I could see the value of Has datasource to be false Has datasource ? :false

What will this indicate ?

Chandrapal,

Have you run cfgsync to update your as.cfg file on the machine where you run the stage app server (this would be if the stage app server is running on a machine that does not have the stage DA/CA installed). You will then have to restart your app server in order to pick up the change. If you have done all that then you should open a ticket with customer support.

The cfgsync executable is located in Content/7_6/bin directory and has the following syntax. The 7.6 DPM Configuration guide also outlines the instructions for this command on page 43. Here is a link to this document:

Chandrapal,

If you don’t have cfgsync on the app server machine then you most likely just copied the as.cfg file from the DA’s as/conf directory. It is fine to copy this file but if you don’t have the other CDS bits on the app server machine most likely the logging will not work as we need a .xml file to initialize log4j. If you don’t have cfgsync on the app server machine and would like it on there you can install the CDS bits and when the installer completes and it asks you to install a Config Agent, you can say no and quit the CDS installer – this will provide you all the bits on your app server machine you need to run cfgsync.
