How to encode the tag in regex?

Hi,
I have to encode the

tag in my visual format perl module.

The code to perform this operation was already present as :

$vfData =~ s!

!!g;
$vfData =~ s!

!!g;

but there is a bug in this code,so the

tags are not encoded and displayed in the front end like

This is Front end HTML

please help me in finding what is wrong in this code.

Where and for what are you trying to use the regex?

Hi ghoti,it is in the "vf.pm" and i was encoding the

tag before the parsing inside a function ...

before returning the value,i have decoded the

tags to resolve the problem.

vf.pm sounds like a custom module
However, if the problem is resolved - close the thread.
