Content Select CCE - seeing static files even though Static Files option is disabled

Per suggestion from support engineer I'm also posting this here. We have encountered the following issue on "Content Select CCE" widget:

While there is an option to enable/disable static files and we have it disabled static files still show up under "Uploaded" section.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Hello Srinivas, thank you for your response,

When item is selected using this widget there is a "Select an Item" screen. In the left nav it has the following sections: "Modified", "Uploaded", "Shortcut Items", "Saved Searches". I'm attaching it here ("Linking.gif"). Also attaching screenshot of widget config screen where static files option is disabled.
