Content Delete taking too much time

Hi,

We are using WEM 8.1. Content delete is taking too much time to deleta any content. Sometime the page gets expired while deleting content. Normally I have seen this behavior when do "Bulk Delete" of contents and then try deleting content. When we do bulk delete we get this error (through audit events) "Omnibus op Remove Project 'Product Support' - Mon Sep 17 01:05:27 CDT 2012 abandoned because the handler was invalid. OpId 79af02ea924c9310VgnVCM2000007006150aVASP."

Deleting even a sinegle content is too time consuming. Please let me know if someone has faced this issue or has some insight about this.

Hi Vijay, great to hear from you again! Have you tried disabling the search registration listeners for the pre-persistance and static file events? This will speed up delete considerably but don't forget to re-enable those listeners and then resync your index manually (from CLI - perhaps later in the evening).

This error is worth checking out as it seems to show there's a problem with your event configuration. If you have vcmtools installed, run the 'health check' utility. This will show any events that have missing or bad listeners configured (perhaps an old custom listener that is no longer deployed).

Thanks Evan for your reply. I ran the Health Check but there are no Errors or Warnings.

I am not able to understand the first part of your suggestions. Do you want to say that we have to disable the Autonomy listener from all the events (before deleting the contents) and then delete the contents and then re-enable the listeners back to all those events? If this is the case then I am not sure if this is a feasible solutions at all because we cannot disable the listeners every time we have to delete the contents.

We tried removing all custom listeners from delete event and then tried deleting contents but it didn’t help. I somehow think that there is some deadlock happening when we try to delete contents. I checked the logs but I do not see any warning, error messages.
