Get taxonomy classification

Hello.  Is there an API to retrieve a taxonomy classification, and then iterate through any subclassifications?  I don't want to retrieve the classifications for a specific content instance; I am aware of ContentInstance.getTaxonomyClassifications.  I just want to retrieve a classification by name and iterate down the hierarchy.

Hi Dexter,

 

I don’t think any API available to retrieve classifications if I am not wrong. You need to use below DB query to get classification by name

 

SELECT ID, PARENTID, NAME FROM VGNDATAXONOMYCATEGORY WHERE PARENTID = (SELECT ID FROM VGNDATAXONOMYCATEGORY WHERE NAME = ? ) ORDER BY NAME
