Provide more context and detail about what your are trying to do.
Are you doing this in a callout, and inline, a callServer(), or other process?
If so - what language is the callout, inline, callServer, or other process written in (Perl, Java, etc.)?

To my knowledge, there is no TS CLT to give you the size of a given file. That has to be done via custom code (probably either Java or Perl).

Like Adam said, you'll have to figure out where you place this logic and what triggers it. You can put in DCT and use a CallServer or you can put it in the WF or one of the various other mechanisms.

After a file is uploaded you can run iwrlog on it. Doing it in a DCR would require a call server. You would be better served posting your use case and maybe a better approach (like doing it in WF) can be proposed.

Ugh - iwrlog - Nipper what have you been drinking lately? ;-)
A simple Perl built-in stat call (or java equivalent) would probably be more efficient and more to-the-point (i.e. less parsing out the information you want from information you don't want).
