File modified by different user

Dear All,

Since upgrading from TS 6.5 SP2 to TS 6.7.2 SP1 we are experiencing a strange issue. When we edit a generated file, make a change in the form, save the file, we are warned that the file has been modified and do we want to overwrite. However, if I edit the DCR I do not get the same problem. Neither, the DCR nor the generated file is modified.

I have even deleted all the Workareas and the problem still exists.

you'll want to contact support about that. I had a support ticket open with them on the same subject. What support told me was this message was implemented in 6.7.2 patch 2 (and is also in sp1). if the document you are working with looks like it's currently opened by someone else when you try to save you will get this message. Evidently, some companies have experienced htis message firing off when it shouldn't and they have a fix for people who were on patch 2 and they were close to having something for sp1 folks.

Unfortunately, for us there fixes won't work because we change the modified by to SYSTEM on the dcrs so that the dcrs will now show in the Work in Progress portlet in CCStd just the generated xml. I've added two feature requests because of this issue 1) where we can configure the WIP portlet to include or exclude dcrs and 2) configure whether the overwrite message is turned on or off.

You'll definitely want to talk to Support about the issue though.
