Link Monitoring

Has anyone done any Link monitoring application. i.e. Monitoring all the links in a given website and Report which link is inactive or is return a page not found error or any error for that matter.

If anyone have done that, can any application monitor redirected links too?

Hi lillywhite,

I am not sure if I fully understand the question, but in the past I have used a link checking spider to scan pages and report on which ones are broken. W3C have open sourced their link checker, and it is available on cpan.

You could also review your server logs to look for redirects and errors.
