workflow variable in wft

I am on TS 6.7.1 on Linux. For some reasaon, i cannot get a workflow variable to be retrieved in iw_solutions_email.ipl at all, can any one help me with a small working example.

Enable debugging in iw_solution_email.ipl run the script as it is intended to be run (with proper values for active jobid and taskid, etc) - look in IWHOME/tmp for the output of the debugging feature, which should include a complete XML dump - then carefully debug your PT against that XML to figure out why you are not retrieving the value.

I work with upschat and wanted to post a reply stating what we found:

There was an error in our user_databases.xml file that was preventing the users from being properly synced with the ldap server. This was keeping the jobs from being instantiated properly. Once this was resolved, we are able to instantiate jobs properly again and have full access to our variables. Our problem is now resolved.
