iw-mount issue

TS 6.7.1, Wk3 server

http://servername:81/iw-mount/(default/main) does not give me the directories...so something is messed up with my iw-mount drive...i can access to Y: though! this is giving me "unable to open a connection: servername:81 error -- Connection failed". So should I just install Apache server or is there any chance of IIS server to work?

and does anybody know what "fileLastModDate" error is?

my attempts:
http://localhost gives me the GUI
http://servername:81 does not return me anything!
iwstat -c shows that defualt, iwadmin, wf are running.

iw.cfg file has the default values like port 81 for web-server port and all..

access.log gives me HTP/1/1 404 67 0 Administrator ( i'm assuiming 404 error?)

This certainly implies that eiter IIS is on the wrong port (though you would get an error) or that the iw-mount virtual directory was not created properly in IIS.

Did you run the tspostreboot.pl after installing TS ? It should have started as soon as the reboot happened. You can run it again.

Open IIS, open DefaultWebSite, verify it is on port 81 (sounds like it is). Underneath it will be a virtual directory called iw-mount pointing to y:

IIS does not always like this so mine shows up as an error though if I click on it, I can traverse to default/main...

You misunderstood - within IIS there needs to be a virtual directory named "iw-mount" than referenced Y:\ -- this is not something that iwgetlocation will tell you.

You need to look within the IIS Manager to verify that you have a web site setup, that it is listening on port 81, that it has the virtual folder created, and that you are using the correct ID and settings for the anonymous access.

A little note on that last one - the last two Windows implementations I went through, we had to switch from using the Interwoven TSIMP_hostname account to the IIS IUSR_hostname account in order for previews to work correctly - start with TSIMP, but be prepared to try switching to IUSR if you run into problems (this also requires adding the IUSR account to the TeamSite Web Preview group - which I'm assuming you already had set up before you did the installation - yes?)

I found out that I do not have IIS service running. Which is weird as when I installed TS, it asked me if I wanted to configure automatically or manually. So I tried installing IIS but with no luck. So I installed Apache Tomcat instead. Now the following is working:

1. http://servername:81 is giving me the tomcat page instead of connection failed!
2. Clicking on HTML page renders me 404: the requested source (iw-mount/default.....) is not available.

So cleary it is not opening files from iw-mount. Now how do point the iw-mount to Y: ? the installation guide does not say much!

i did open httpd.conf and change the server port to 81 from 80!

I am totally stuck!!! Any help would be appreciated! thanks

this is what i 'm trying:

The capability is not full virtualization, but it will provide enough functionality to display text in most kinds of files such as html, and JSP. It will not interpret JSP code... for that a servlet container must be configured such as Apache Tomcat.

Apache must be installed and working for this capability.

Go to the Apache home directory. Find the file httpd.conf. It's typically located at /opt/apache/conf/httpd.conf. Open this file, and edit the DocumentRoot and the Directory sections to point to /iwmnt/default/main/:

## DocumentRoot: The directory out of which documents be # served. By default, all requests are taken from this directory, but# symbolic links and aliases may be used to point to other locations.#DocumentRoot "/iwmnt/default/main/" ...## This should be changed to match DocumentRoot#
Save the changes and restart apache by calling /etc/init.d/apache restart.

Open /etc/iw.cfg and go to the section marked [iwproxy_preconnect_remap]. Under this section, enter the following information:

_regex=(.*)/mybranch/WORKAREA/(.*)=http://yourTeamSiteServer:yourProxyPort/mybranch/WORKAREA/$2

The default port is 81. This can be altered by changing the customer_webserver_port value in iw.cfg and restarting TeamSite. Create one entry for each branch in the TeamSite directory structure. When finished, save all changes and call /bin/iwreset -ui

Content should now be view-able within TeamSite
