OOTB Sitemap Component is not working properly

Hi,

The OOTB sitemap component does not display all the nodes added in the sitemap correctly.

Scenario is:

Parent Node:X
Node:A
Child Node:1
Child Node:2
Node:B
Child Node:3
Child Node:4
Node:C
Node: D
Child Node:5
Child Node:6
Node:E
Child Node:7
Child Node:8

If I add one node
''C" with these setting [allow-children="true" visible-in-breadcrumbs="false" visible-in-sitemap="false"],then all the siblings(position :After to node "C" i.e. D and E) and child node of siblings(5,6,7,8) do not displayed properly in sitemap component.
all the sibling(position :before to node "C" i. e. A and

and child node of siblings (1,2,3,4) gets displayed properly in sitemap component.

If I delete Node:C or move after Node:E, sitemap component works fine.

What could be the possible reason for this?

Try using the same settings (allow-children="true" visible-in-breadcrumbs="false" visible-in-sitemap="false") with node A or B and see what you get? Perhaps that "allow-children" is throwing it off? Any node that children that's the last one to be be displayed?

In any case, if you get similar results with A or B then my gut feeling would be that something may be hosed in the component XSL.
