Getting owner of the previous task

Hi Friends,

I am using WFM1.0.0.1. In my workflow I needed the previous task(That is a group task) owner in CCmail_header.tpl file so that I can send a mail to him. I have tested below code but seems not working at all.

my $previousTaskid = iwpt_dcr_value('previous_task@id');
my $previousTask = TeamSite::WFtask-<new($previousTaskid);
my $prev_task_owner = $previousTask-<GetOwner();

Any suggestion??

What program are you using to send email? From the looks of it - you are using iw_solution_email.ipl - is that correct? Or are you using one of the various Java mail programs that were intended (poorly IMO) to perform the same functionality for WFM?

The recipient address for iw_solution_email.ipl is retrieved from the one (or more) target task name(s) specified on the ExternalTask's command line with the

-t

flag.

The recipient address for the java mail programs comes from the task name (singular) specified via the

target_task_name

variable associated with the EmailTask.

Hi Ghoti, thanks for your reply. Yes I was using iwsolution_mail.ipl. I am not sure whether I have used the -t flag in the command. I have solved the problem with some different way bcs that was needed the immediate solution as I had to move to somewhere else so what i did is to wrote a simple script that parse the reviewer group and fetch the email from the tsuser file.. In this scenario the thing that worked for me is, there was a single reviewer at this time that may be change time 2 time thats why i kept him in a group and wrote the getEmail script.

Will definitely test what you mentioned but once back Smiley Happy
