Creating component inside component

Hi ,

I am using Vignette 8.1.

I am trying to create a component inside the component. And this should let content editor to add  component wherever they want.

As per my understanding, below steps needs to be implemented and the requirement :

> Create a custom component

> it will have a name attribute and a text field to enter number of sub components needs to be created inside this component.

> On Click of save, it should create the components and subcomponents

 

Can someone please advice how could we achive this or how should i proceed.

Your understanding is wrong.

Creating a component inside a component doesn't make any sense.

Components are created inside regions, and regions are part of a template, whose layout rules the way regions are located.

I suggest that you take a little time to study the docs to better understand our model
