Nested workflow - multiple successors linking to parent workflow?

Hi,

I am new to nested workflows. So please pardon my ignorance.

Below is the scenario.

Workflow A has a wfttask to instantiate workflow B.

There are mutiple transition points in workflow B.

e.g. a user task in workflow B could transition to either task1 or task2 or task3 in workflow A(the parent workflow).

Is this possible at all with nested workflows?

The way you've described it is not possible, not directly from the User Task anyway.

OOTB you can configure Parent Task transition within Parent Job upon the child Job completion, that's it. That said,
you can certainly pass Parent's Job ID to the Child, instantiate Parent's WF Object in some child External/CGI/URL Task
and start manipulating it. IMO it's a bad idea.

If your Parent Job Flow depends on the Child execution you should pass required information to the Parent (set Parent's Job
variables for example). Then, upon Child's Job Completion Parent job Tasks should process this information, do something,
transition accordingly, etc.
