How to deploy portal/beans/*.jsp as a car in portal

Hi,

We have created a custome jsp to include in the extended VAPIncludetag class. And this jsp is currently placed at location , webapp/portal/beans/*.jsp

We want to deploy this as *.car file in portal. Can someone please advice, how could we deploy this and will it be accessible?

Hi,

Portal PBD portlets are by default placed under /portal/beans/* folder but looks like you manually created JSP and placed under mentioned folder.

You better create PBD portlet with your jsp.

PBD portlets are in portal/WEB-INF/conf/beans/*.

And we want to have our custom JSP at location portla/beans/*.

Simlar to what we see at below location;

/webapps/portal/beans/contentRegion/jsp/view.jsp.

Can you please confirm how view.jsp has been deployed as part of portal car?

Hi,

ContentRegion is a PBD portlet but I am not sure how it’s bundled with portal.car.

But if you want to develop/deploy PBD portlet, please refer portal dev guide for more information.

Hi Chandan, Developing PortalBean portlets is documented in the Portal Admin Guide (as already pointed out).

However, OpenText provides a very detailed course (online or offline) that will teach you how to develop new PB portlets and extend existing ones (like the Content Publisher portlet):

Hi,

We didn't want to create the portel bean portlet. As this need to have *.pbd and other stuffs.

Now without portal bean itself we are able to build the car file and able to deploy.
