Hi,

For the current task and I need to get the approver. how can I do it?

my $task_owner = $task->GetOwner();
debug("$dbgInfo", " \$task_owner = '$task_owner'\n");

my $task_name = $task->GetName();
debug("$dbgInfo", " \$task_name = '$task_name'\n");

is there a GetApprover(); function or something similar?

Is it a user_task or a group_task?

There are four tasks in the following order:

External task Approval reqd
Email task notify approver
UserTask approval
external task notify approver rejected or
external task notify approver approved

the email is sent in either external task notify approver rejected or
external task notify approver approved, but how can I find out who the approver was when I'm not in that task anymore. Basically, I want to send an email to author from approver using iwsend_wf_email.ipl and passing the arguments in either of those externals taks

Does this make more sense to you?

You can either fetch the owner of the user_task as it is the approver in your external task or, set a job variable with the approver value and a placeholder in your email.

Based on your other post - you're on the right trail. You need to look at the perldoc for TeamSite::WFworkflow as well as TeamSite::WFtask.

What you need to do is obtain a reference to the usertask which is used for performing the review - and then from that reference you can obtain the owner information - the owner of the usertask being the person who performed the review.

By reading about TeamSite::WFworkflow as well as TeamSite::WFtask I got the reference back to the approver in the workflow.
