Using hibernate in an external

Hi,

When trying to use hibernate to query some data from an external database for a livesite component, we don't get any result. But calling that method using the command line gives the expected results. It seems the hibernate.cfg.xml is not read since the result of any query is empty, and no error is reported.

Is there a point i'm missing?

This can definitely be done. Where are your hibernate mapping files?

The Rating Component comes with 6.7.2/3.1, and it uses hibernate to query and store rating results. I think the source is in the distro somewhere. If yours works outside of LS, then I would suspect a configuration problem somewhere.

Also, is this a shared TS instance, or do you have solo access to it? If so, sometimes attaching a debugger is an easy way to find answers to problems like this, once you go to the trouble to set it up.
