mysterious features ... (LS test branch)

karel

I've heard a story about a mysterious test branch or workarea (called 'test' ...) for testing LiveSite components, without submitting them first/updating the templates first.

I've been playing around with this test branch, but unfortunately wasn't able to get what i wanted.

Is this 'test' branch still around in the current version of LiveSite (3.1). If not what was the latest version which supported this hidden feature.

Maybe this feature isn't so hidden after all. Is there any documentation available?

And most important, if the rumours are true, how to set it up ... ?

Please help me found out whether this urban legend is fact or fiction.

this branch exists in all version of SP/LS.

it located under iwadmin/livesite/test there should be a shared work area you can use to create a test site
