Error in deployment

Hi All,

I am getting the following error while deploying .
"LIB 00006: 2009-05-14 10:27:22 ERROR: Connection failed: Could not find matching OpenDeploy client for (server name). "

Can any one suggest me the probable reason for that .

Does the Log file actually say "(server name)" or this replaced with a real server name in your environment.

You'd be better posting your complete deployment configuration and log file here in order to get a good response.

Because the server name is invalid or the server is not running the OpenDeploy receiver or the port between the 2 is blocked (typically by the firewall)

This is a basic configuration error. Start reading the manuals and it debug.

1st thing to do is log on the OD sender and run

telnet SERVERNAME 20014

assuming that is the port (default) in use. It should connect (and do nothing else). If you get an error it is due the receiver not running or the port being blocked

1) did you check hostnames and ports in odnodes.xml,odbase.xml on source server and odrcvr.xml on target server.
2)Are you able to do SSH from source to target server? Please check the connection. if it fails, firewall may preventing to connect to target server.

Generally this is your Receiver telling you that it could not fine a match for the Sender's localNode value in it's allowedHosts section of the odrcvr.xml (or odbase.xml if the receiver is actually a Base Server).
