can't add jsps to customer toolkit

Hi-
Whenever I add any jsp files to the customer toolkit, I get the following exception when trying to rebuild it:

Can you ensure you modified the custom XML files correctly. if any tags are missing or if you did not declare items properly in the custom files, make_toolkit.ipl will throw bunch of exceptions like above.

I didn't modify any of the XML files. I'm not trying to change the teamsite UI. I'm trying to create a callServer formAPI helper.

The reason I'm placing it in the customer toolkit is becasue i believe I need access to CSSDK. Is this not the place to be doing it?

customer_src/web is the typical location to put your custom JSPs (that will be accessed from TS).

Are you referencing any classes that may require JAR files that are not present there? I see NoClassDefFoundError error and that is what I would look at first. If you think you have all of your JAR files in place and still getting an error -- you can start with a very simple hello-world.jsp and then incrementally add your features and test and see if you can isolate the problem that way.

jasper is the engine that tomcat uses to render JSP pages. I would think this should be on the classpath by default. I have tried this with a file that is named with the jsp extension, but contains no jsp code, and i still get this error.

Yes, I only get this error if I place a JSP in the toolkit. I have placed servlets in the src dir, edited the web.xml, and I was able to access them via URL. This only happens when in place a JSP beneath the "web" folder.

The path to the jsp is:
[iw_home]/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/web/formapi/getIdFromVpath/failure.jsp

There are no other JSPs in here. Only some static file that were placed there by the install.

My guess is that this 'bug' (?) has been introduced by SP1 for 6.7.2 as I have only seen it after applying this SP.

It can be fixed by changing the install_toolkit.ipl script, at around line 238, from:
